3) Mary tells danforth that she lied about seeing spirits and demons. and that she only fainted because everyone else fainted. she thought she saw things so she fainted.
4) when danforth hears elizabeth is pregnant he allows her to live until the baby is born.
5) 91 people signed a petition stating that they supported mary, and elizabeth. These 91 people were arrested.
6) Danforth is telling proctor he must either choose to be with the court or against it.
7) "God damns all liars!"
Giles accused putnam of trying to steal his land by use of the court system.
9) Hale's problem is that he can't believe proctor and thinks proctor is lieing.
10) Hawthorne asks mary to faint. if she can faint, he will believe she was faking seeing the spirits and demons. SHe can't do it because before she was afraid at spirits that she "thought" were there. so many other girls were screaming that she thought she saw it too. in rerality, she didn't.
11) Elizabeth says she fired abby because abby "dissatisfied" her. she says it this way to help save proctor from humiliation. little does she know he has already confessed.
12) The girls copy mary and pretend she is putting a hex on them. in response she stops testifying against them and re-joins with the other girls.
13) proctor is arrested.
